Section 12-15-68

Granting of continuances in cases.

Continuances shall be granted by the court only upon a showingof good cause and only for so long as it is necessary, taking into accountnot only the request or consent of the prosecutor or of the child, but alsothe interest of the public in the prompt disposition of cases and whetherthe child is being detained.
